We spend a lot of time in our bathrooms getting ready. This is a space that should be calming and decluttered to allow you to set the tone for the day and unwind at night. Organization is a great way to tie in style with order. My best bathroom tip is to display bath towels, wash clothes and cotton products on floating shelves above the toilet. This will not only give your bathroom a hotel-like ambiance but it will also add storage and functionality to the space.
Another great way to keep the bathroom tidy is to optimize the storage below the sink using a tiered organizer with drawers. This will help contain those smaller bottles of serums, medicine, and soaps as well as store items you may have duplicates of. We call those items "back stock" in the organizing world.
My best tip for decluttering your bathroom is to take inventory of the items you have every season. For example, as summer comes to an end, go through and purge any sunscreen that has expired and or will expire before the next summer approaches. Also be honest with yourself. If you bought a new product and ended up not liking it but kept it in the back of the cabinet just because you paid money for it, share it with a friend who may enjoy it or go ahead and let go of it. Chances are you will not use it and it is only taking up prime real estate.
